Bats aren't scary. They eat mosquitos. That makes them heroes in my books..
This sculpture is an ode to an underrated and over-villified creature who is more useful to us than we realize.

Unfortunately, bat populations are being wiped out world wide by a deadly fungus.
This is not good news, and the numbers dead are in the millions now in North America alone..

Make sure to put up a bat house in your yard. We need to help and encourage these wonderful creatures.
