As an artist, I love those prolific periods. I paint best at night, when my family is asleep, all is quiet indoors and outside, too. The last few nights I've pulled all nighters, which means essentially that I've turned my days into nights. Well, it is a holiday, so I can take advantage of that! When my son goes back to school in another week, I'll have to suffer the consequences of lack of sleep when we get back to a normal routine.
But, in the meantime, the images, and hence the paintings, are pouring forth. Believe me, I've experienced great creative droughts before, so I'm ever so grateful for times like this, and intend to take advantage of every minute of it. I'm learning to listen to the muse! So, here's the latest one. A Jazz sketch out of my head. Courtesy of some excellent music I've been listening to. More fodder for painting.
