Jazz Trio - Musical Art on canvas

Jazz can really be played on any instrument, the most common instruments being the saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, drums, and guitar, just to name a few.

Jazz is really hard to describe in words. That's likely why I want to paint it. It's music that, to me at least, is partly planned, and partly spontaneous.

But you know, the only way to really know jazz, or any music for that matter, is to listen to it.

We're havin' a heat wave... A tropical heat wave

A celebration of the season. For those of you who have long winters like me, you'll totally get it.

Tropical dreams, the heat of summer, sunshine, good music, and something liquid, with a squeeze of lemon on the side, for quenching one's thirst.

The Fireflies, (some call them Lightning bugs), are out now, here in Haliburton. I just love sitting in our screened in porch at night, glass in hand, watching nature's light show. Very cool.
